The Town of Bolesławiec, Poland
One of the birthplaces of traditional Polish handcrafted ceramics,
Bolesławiec is renowned not only for its natural pigments, clay, and glaze,
but especially for its primitive yet timeless painting techniques and hand-thrown pottery -a true representation of traditional ceramic artistry.
Many of Poland’s tableware pieces come from small, family-owned workshops in this charming town.
Each pattern is hand-painted by skilled artisans,
and every piece is truly one of a kind.
As one artisan beautifully put it:
“Inspiration for the patterns is full of possibility. It’s almost limitless—
it exists among us, or perhaps beyond us.”
Polish ceramics are not about the courtly elegance of French porcelain,
nor the aristocratic refinement of British bone china.
Their charm lies in simplicity, warmth, and approachability. 🇵🇱
Just one glance brings to mind the blooming spring of Poland.
